Tips for Shoppers Well, you decided to surprise someone, or a group of people, by sending a basket filled with beautiful gifts. So you type in gift baskets or birthday or other occasion and the search engine starts giving you hundreds of companies to choose from and this is where your odyssey starts. Keyword after keyword, company after company, all trying to convince you to by from them. But consider this before you do: Do you really get what you see in the picture of a basket? Do you really get the same decoration on your basket with the flowers, ribbons, tulle, lace or other items that they show in the picture? Do you really get the same size of the items? Is the description precise enough such that you know you are not getting miniatures? For example, when you read in the items list "box of chocolates or biscuits is included:, do you know how many pieces of chocolates or biscuits are in the box? 2 or 4 12 or 24? Or how many ounces is a bottle of body soap or a cream or a hand soap or whatever is in the items list? Do you really get the same gorgeous bunny you see or one that makes you feel disappointed? So the question is: Do you get value for your money? What do they base the prices of their basket on? Well, this is a difficult question to answer because a company has many factors to consider before it prices a basket or an item. However, I can surely tell you that there are many companies out there that charge completely crazy prices! I will never forget that baby basket that contained just FIVE simple items and was on sale for $275.00 and believe me I am not exaggerating!! $275.00 plus 25.00 for delivery! Maybe all this information is not very useful for the recipient of your gifts, but is very necessary for you, the buyer, to know what to be aware of. |
